SCOTT Sports have been making bike helmets since 1988 and have an unmatched focus on safety. In 2012 they introduced MIPS (Multi-directional Impact Protection System) into their range, which is a thin layer of low-friction plastic which upon impact moves just 15mm within the first 15mm milliseconds and reduces the impact force to the brain by up to 34%.
